Distene's adaptive meshing component implements state-of-the-art technologies as a self-contained, easy-to-integrate software module. This component is built upon the TetMesh-GHS3D and YAMS components for speed, reliability and quality.

Surface/volume mesh adaptation of unstructured tri/tet meshes: MeshAdapt

• Isotropic adaptation: control of the elements size through an input user-defined size map
• Anisotropic adaptation: control of the elements size and shape through an input user-defined shape tensor map
• Adapts surface and volume meshes simultaneously, or separately
• No need for any CAD interface: builds a new geometry from the initial mesh
• Recreates curvature automatically, conforms to user-defined geometrical constraints (ridges, corners, normals, etc.)
